When you think of Thanksgiving, it’s easy to take the holiday for granted. That’s because we’ve all celebrated Thanksgiving for our entire lives.
Surprisingly, the fact is that this year’s Thanksgiving celebration will mark America’s 156th observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The observance was first proposed by George Washington in 1789, but it was only made an official national holiday in 1863, during the administration of Abraham Lincoln, in the midst of the Civil War.
No matter how or when Thanksgiving gained its place among the national holidays that Americans observe, Thanksgiving serves to remind us that we need to pause and be thankful for the blessings that we are so fortunate to enjoy.
Indeed, at Employment Technologies, we have much for which to be grateful.
We are thankful, most of all, for two important blessings that have allowed our company to grow and prosper for what is nearly a quarter-century: the success and loyalty of our clients and the skills and dedication of our team.
Since our inception, our core business philosophy has centered around the needs of our clients. By listening to our customers, we have been able to develop engaging assessment experiences that help our clients quickly identify the right candidates to join their teams and contribute to their business success.
In the same vein, we give thanks for the professionalism of our staff. The vast majority of our team has worked together for decades, keeping pace with a dizzying number of technical changes in the business environment, innovating new and effective ways to improve and streamline hiring, while always keeping our clients’ goals and needs central to each innovation.
The combination of loyal client partnerships and the dedication of our team offers so much for which to be thankful. And, we are, indeed, for very grateful.
May your table be filled with gratitude and the sense of bringing together that Thanksgiving provides us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
