Do you have a favorite song or two that you enjoy during the holiday season? A tune that takes on special meaning in December?

The range of genres generally accepted this time of the year is extraordinarily wide, reflecting the power of music to reach across the human experience. Your list might feature a little jazz, a touch of country, and a classical carol.

As I thought about my own favorites and scanned various greatest-of-all-time lists, I discovered that 2019 marks the 54th viewing of Charlie Brown’s Christmas Story. Vince Guaraldi’s score is generally considered to be a classic for all.

I don’t think music is the only reason this story about a group of children and a mischievous dog seeking the true meaning of Christmas endures. Contributing to its success is the narration from a child’s perspective. Those voices awaken in us a longing for times gone by when our thoughts and actions, albeit not always pure in motive, were most genuine.

On behalf of the Employment Technologies family, may the music and stories of Christmas offer you genuine joy!  We remain grateful for your trust and business and look forward to serving you in the new year.

P.S. My top three songs are:

  • White Christmas
  • Silent Night
  • It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
